The short version: WealthRank does not collect your personal data. The income, savings, age, country, display name and any values you enter are stored only on your device and are never sent to us or anyone else. There are no accounts, no tracking, no ads, and no analytics. The app makes a single read-only network request — to load a public list of the world's wealthiest people — and that request contains no information about you.
WealthRank is designed to keep your financial inputs on your device. Everything you enter to calculate your rank stays in the app's local storage on your phone and is never transmitted to LUQ LABS. The only thing WealthRank fetches over the network is a read-only, public "Hall of Fame" of the world's richest people, which is the same for everyone and includes nothing about you. A challenge link is created only when you choose to share one.
All of the following is stored locally on your device (in the app's on-device storage) and is never transmitted off your device:

WealthRank makes a single category of network request: it loads a read-only, public "Hall of Fame" — the world's richest people, sourced from the public Forbes Real-Time Billionaires list — from our own service. This request sends no information about you; it returns the same public list for everyone. As with any internet request, our hosting provider may record your device's IP address in transient server logs for security and reliability. That IP address is operational/security-only: it is not linked to anything you entered, is not used to identify, profile, or track you, and we do not build user profiles.
If you tap "Share my rank," WealthRank creates a link that encodes only the result you chose to share — for example your world rank, your tier, and your country. The link does not contain your raw income or savings. This happens only when you tap share, and you decide who, if anyone, receives it.
Your inputs are stored locally on your device within the app's private storage. They benefit from your device's built-in security features (device passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, and the iOS data-protection APIs, which encrypt app data when your device is locked). We have no access to your data — it exists only on your device.
If you have iCloud Backup enabled, iOS may include WealthRank's local data in your encrypted iCloud Backup. That backup is encrypted and managed by Apple under Apple's privacy terms; LUQ LABS cannot access it. You can exclude WealthRank from iCloud Backup in iOS Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup > Apps Using iCloud.
WealthRank uses no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs — no ad networks, no social plugins, no tracking pixels. The statistical models behind your percentile are derived from public reference data: the UBS Global Wealth Report and the U.S. Federal Reserve Survey of Consumer Finances. The "Hall of Fame" reflects the public Forbes Real-Time Billionaires list. These public datasets are used factually to compute and display estimates; loading them sends none of your information. WealthRank does not display Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt because it does not engage in tracking.
WealthRank is rated 4+ and suitable for general audiences. Because the app collects no personal data at all, it does not knowingly collect information from children (or anyone).
Because your data lives on your device, you control it completely:
Your inputs remain on your device until you clear them within the app or uninstall it. We do not retain any copy of your data on any server. If you have iCloud Backup enabled, Apple retains an encrypted copy of your device backup per Apple's retention terms.
WealthRank does not collect, sell, share, or disclose any personal information to any third party, and does not process personal information on any server we control. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve (12) months. California residents nonetheless have the right to know, delete, correct, and limit use of personal information, and a right to non-discrimination. Because we do not hold any personal information about you, there is nothing for us to return, delete, or correct on our end — all data remains under your exclusive control on your device.
For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland: WealthRank processes the values you enter only on your own device. LUQ LABS does not receive or host that data on any server, and is therefore not a data controller or processor with respect to it in normal use. If you contact our support team, we act as the controller of your email correspondence (legal basis: legitimate interest in providing support, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). You may contact us to exercise access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection rights with respect to that correspondence, and you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
In Apple's App Store "App Privacy" disclosure, WealthRank is declared as "Data Not Collected." The developer does not collect any data from this app, and the app is not used for tracking as defined by Apple.
The ranks, percentiles, and projections WealthRank shows are statistical estimates modeled from the public sources named above. They are provided for entertainment and general interest and are not financial, investment, or tax advice.
If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. We will not reduce your rights under this Policy without your explicit consent.
